I'm cool with gen or shippy fills for this one
I fell hard for this series when I was still reading Bleach, and I think the fact that it's unfinished is a large part of the appeal. We only see snippets of their world but what we do see is very much my jam.
The futuristic / fantasy western setting is a large part of the appeal (is this post-apocalyptic Earth? is it a secondary world setting? are they on an alien planet?), as well as the relationship between Smith and Gamma. They're so different and yet they have this implicit trust and such a strong bond. What brought them together? What's keeping them together? What kind of adventures have they been on, pre- and post-canon? Who tops when they fuck?
And then there's the MacGuffin driving the series, the Rings of the Deadfucking zombie powder how does it work.
That we never find answers to any of these allows us to fill it in with our imaginations and that's likely more interesting than what we would have gotten had Kubo finished the series. I highly encourage you to go as batshit crazy pants as you'd like!
I think this canon could lend itself well to some very spooky stories, so if that's your thing, I hope you lean into it :D

But if you're like me and you need more inspiration than that, I love space opera and creepy circuses and weird end-times cults and any combination thereof, sacrifices to the divine that aren't what they appear, mortal character has an unsettling and/or sexy encounter with the supernatural, ancient ruins of super-advanced civilizations that aren't as dead as we thought, ALL the tentacles, enemies forced to work together, identity porn, et cetera. The tropier the better!
